The Esaase Gold Project and the mining lease on which it is based are owned by Keegan Resources Ghana, a fully owned subsidiary of Keegan. The Government of Ghana retains the right to take a 10% interest in the project under Section 8 of the Ghanaian Mining Act. The Lease is also subject to a 3.5% NSR owed to the Government of Ghana.
